Hi and thank you for visiting my webpage. I am a School Psychologist who has more than 25 years of experience with children and families across multiple environments. I have raised two of my own children who are now well into their 20's and one of them is married, raising a child of her own. My oldest child is diagnosed with Nonverbal Learning Disability and General Anxiety Disorder. He was first diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and has dealt with Depression also.
My undergraduate degree was out of a University in California called Ambassador University (1984) and my degree was a Liberal Arts degree with a Theology major and special interest in Psychology and Child Growth & Development. I consider it a blessing that I was able to be a "stay at home" mother when my children were born. In the late 90's I became interested in furthering my education and went to graduate school at the University of Hartford for School Psychology (2001). Since then, I have worked across several school districts including Hebron, West Hartford, Meriden, Plainville and now Rocky Hill (since 2006). I have been involved with the National Association for School Psychologists (NASP), the Connecticut Association for School Psychologists (CASP), Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (CHADD) and Autism Services and Resources Connecticut (ASRC).
My professional interests include family wellness, autism spectrum disorders, Nonverbal Learning Disability, Aspergers, social skills and general childhood counseling. My personal interests include church planting, travel, camping, hiking, movies, reading, sewing and learning new things about anything.
